One for students from Grade 9 to University level. Other two panel discussions are to Parents and Teachers. \nThis one day event focuses on the future direction of Tamil language and culture in the diaspora. வைத்துள்ளன. அதே வேளையில் தமது மரபுகளையும் பேணி முன்னெடுக்கின்றன. அவ்வகையில் நாமும் நமது அடையாள இருப்புக்கான\, எமது மரபுகளையும் பேண வேண்டும். \n2003ம் ஆண்டில் முதன் முதலாகக் கனடாத் தமிழ்க் கல்லூரியால் ரொரன்ரோ நகரை மையப்படுத்தித் தமிழ் மொழி வாரம் ஒழுங்கு செய்யப்பட்டது. ஓர் இனத்தின் உயிரின் இருப்பாக\, ஆணிவேராக அமைந்திருப்பது அந்த இனத்தின் மொழியாகும். இந்த அடிப்படையில் தமிழ்மொழி வாரத்தின் முழக்கமாக ‘தமிழின் வாழ்வே தமிழரின் வாழ்வு’ என்ற முழக்கம் முன்வைக்கப்பட்டது. \nதமிழ்க் கல்வியை மழலையர் வகுப்பு முதல் பல்கலைக்கழகம் வரை கற்பிக்கும் வசதிகள் இருந்தும் தமிழ் மாணவரும் பெற்றோரும் தமிழ்க்கல்வி கற்பதில் பெருமளவில் அக்கறை எடுக்கவில்லை என்பதே கசப்பான உண்மையாக இருந்தது. எனவேஇ தமிழ்மொழி கற்பதை முன் நிறுத்துவதும் விழிப்புணர்வை ஏற்படுத்துவதுமே இந்தத் தமிழ் மொழி வாரத்தின் முதன்மை நோக்கமாகவிருந்தது. கனடியத் தமிழர்களிடையே இருக்கின்ற அமைப்புகள் ஒன்றிணைந்து ‘தமிழ் மேம்பாட்டுக் கழகம்’ என்ற பெயரில் அவையும் ஒன்று உருவாக்கப்பட்டது. அத்தோடு தமிழ் மொழி வாரத்தின் முக்கிய நோக்கமாகச் கனடாத் தமிழ்க் கல்லூரியும்இ ஏனைய கனடியத் தமிழ் நிறுவனங்களும் இணைந்துஇ கனடா வாழ் ஈழத் தமிழர்களின் கவனம் தமிழ்மொழி மேம்பாடு\, தமிழ்க் கல்வி\, தமிழியல் ஆய்வு போன்ற துறைகளில் செல்ல வேண்டும் என்ற நோக்கத்தோடு தமிழ் மொழி வார நிகழச்சிகள் ஒழுங்கு செய்யப்பட்டன. \nதமிழ் மொழியைப் பல தலை முறைகளுக்கு நிலைத்து நிற்கச் செய்வதற்கும்\, மொழியின் மேம்பாட்டைத் திறன் மிக்க முறையில் கொண்டு செல்வதற்கும் கனடாவில் தமிழ் மொழிக் கல்வியைப் பரவலாக்கவும் வேண்டித் தமிழ்மொழி வாரத்தை ஆண்டு தோறும் கொண்டாடுவதெனவும் மேற் கூறிய நோக்கங்களை நிறைவேற்றவும் கீழ்வரும் உறுதிமொழிகள் எடுக்கப்பட்டன.\n1. எங்கள் பிள்ளைகளைத் தமிழ் வகுப்பில் சேர்ப்போம்.\n2. பெற்றோரும் பிள்ளைகளும் தமிழரிடையே தமிழிற் பேசுவதை உறுதி செய்வோம்.\n3. நாம் அனைவரும் முடிந்த வரை பிறமொழி விலக்கித் தமிழைப் பயன்படுத்துவோம்.\n4. எமது வாழ்வியலில் தமிழ் மொழிப் பண்பாட்டுக்கு முதன்மை நிகழ்ச்சிகளும்\, கலந்துரையாடல்களும்\, பட்டிமன்றங்களும்\, அறிஞர்களின் கருத்தரங்குகளும்\, பல பெரியார்கள்\, ஆசிரியர்கள்\, பத்திரிகையாளர்கள்\, இசைவல்லுனர்கள் போன்றோரால் பல தரப்பட்ட நிகழ்ச்சிகள் நடத்தப்பட்டன. தமிழ்மொழி வார முதல் நாள் நிகழ்ச்சியில் முதன்மை விருந்தினராகத் தமிழ்நாடு மனோன்மணியம் சுந்தரனார் பல்கலைக்கழகத் துணைவேந்தர் திருமதி. சிந்தியா பாண்டியன் கலந்து கொண்டு உரை நிகழ்த்தினார். \nதொடர்ந்து வந்த ஆண்டுகளில் ஒவ்வொரு தைத் திங்களிலும் மாணவர்\, பெற்றோர் மத்தியில் தமிழர் மரபுகளைப் போற்றிப் பேணும் நடவடிக்கைகளைத் ‘தமிழ் மொழி வாரம்’ செய்தது. இதன் தொடர்ச்சியாக இரண்டாயிரத்து ஒன்பதாம் ஆண்டின் இறுதியில் தமிழ்க் கல்வியை கற்பிக்கும் அமைப்பான அறிவகமும் இணைந்து ‘தமிழ் மரபுத் திங்கள்’ அமைப்பு உருவாக்கம் பெற்றது. இவ்வமைப்பு பதிவுசெய்யப்பட்ட அமைப்பாகும். இவ்வமைப்பானது வருவாய் நோக்கற்றதாகும். இதில் இப்போது பல அமைப்புகளும் இணைந்துள்ளன. தமிழ்மொழி வாரமானது\, தமிழ் மரபுத் திங்கள் அமைப்பாக மாற்றம் பெற்றபின்னர்\, 2010இல் முதலாவது தமிழ் மரபுத் திங்கள் விழா பல இடங்களில் கொண்டாடப்பட்டது. \nதமிழர் மத்தியில் மட்டுமல்லாமல்\, எமது மரபுகளை மற்றவர்களும் அறிந்து கொள்ளும் வகையில் இருக்க வேண்டும் என்ற நோக்கோடு\, முறையான பிரகடனம் மற்றும் அங்கீகாரம் பெறுவதற்கான செயற்றிட்டங்கள் உருவாக்கப்பட்டது. திட்டங்களின் செயற்பாடுகள் வாயிலாக\, 2012இல் ஒன்ராரியோ மாநிலத்தில் உள்ள மார்க்கம்\, ஏயாக்ஸ்\, பிக்கெரிங் நகரங்களும் 2013இல் பிராம்ரன்\, தொரன்ரோ\, நகரங்களும்\, 2014இல் ஒட்டாவா நகரமும் தைத் திங்களைத் தமிழரின் மரபுரிமைத் திங்களாக அறிவித்தன. 2014இல் ஒன்ராரியோ மாநில அரசு தமிழ் மரபுத் திங்களைச் சட்டவலுவுள்ளதாக உருவாக்கியது. 2016இல் கனடிய மத்திய அரசு தமிழ் மரபுத் திங்களை ஏற்றுச் சட்டமியற்றியது. இச்சட்டத்தின் ஊடாக கனடா நாடு முழுமையும் தைத்திங்களை தமிழ் மரபுரிமைத் திங்களாக அனைவரும் கொண்டாடக் கூடியதாக உள்ளது. \n2019ஆம் ஆண்டில் தமிழ் மரபுத் திங்களை முன்னிட்டு\, முதலாவது உலகத் தமிழியல் மாநாடு – தமிழியல்: இன்றும் இனியும் என்னும் தலைப்பில் ரொரன்ரோவில் நடைந்தேறியது. இம்மாநாட்டுக்கு\, தாயகத்தில் இருந்தும்\, தமிழர் புலம்பெயர்ந்து வாழும் நாடுகளில் இருந்தும் தமிழ் அறிஞர் வருகை
