University and Colleges
  • Some of the major Uni and Colleges in Ontario and their specialties.
  • Where is the Application Center?
The Ontario Universities' Application Center (OUAC) is located in Guelph Ontario. OUAC's main function is to process application for admission to Ontario universities. The OUAC will forward application to all the requested universities. They do not make any admission decisions.
    How do I apply?
If you are currently in an Ontario high school, you will use the OUAC 101 application form to apply for admission to universities. This form is available through your school's guidance office in early October. The form should be completed and handed in for processing in December.

    What are the requirements?
If you are interested in applying to the universities, you must have completed the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD.) You must also have a minimum of 60 percent average for your best six Ontario Academic Courses (OACs.) Most universities encourage or require students to present average of 70 percent or higher in six OACs. The admission decisions are made according to the specific program and their demand. Your school will send your OAC marks or transcript to OUAC in early March. If you have completed OACs or are taking OACs at more than one secondary school, make sure your current school has all of your results. The Universities will issue the offer of admission from mid April to mid May. Every applicant will receive a notification of his or her status. The timing of an offer will not affect your chances.
