Jataayu Software announced today that its browsing and messaging application suites are now available for handsets based on some of Texas Instruments Incorporated (TI) leading single-chip product family. Jataayu’s browsing and messaging applications come pre-integrated on solutions from TI’s Applications Suite Ecosystem partners such as Open Plug’s ELIPS, Sasken’s Application Framework and SKY MobileMedia's SKY-MAPTM. In addition Jataayu’s browser has also been integrated on Motorola’s AJAR framework. These leading platforms comprise TI’s ecosystem of application framework partners for "LoCosto" single-chip solutions and OMAP-Vox™ platform.

The process of porting, validating and integrating software for multimedia feature phones takes significant monetary and time investment. Customers are able to maximize these investments when offered a choice of pre-integrated, highly customizable application suites, simplifying the development process of multiple models for various markets and reducing time to market by as much as six months.

“Browsing and messaging are key features that will help drive mobile phone growth in emerging markets. Adding Jataayu’s application suite to “LoCosto” and OMAP-Vox platforms including our solutions from our Application Suite Ecosystem partners will further improve time to market of these key mobile applications,” said Markus Tremmel, worldwide manager of TI’s Cellular Systems Ecosystem.

“The availability of Jataayu browsing and messaging application suites on TI’s single-chip product family and leading Application Framework Solutions for mobile devices underscores market acceptance and easy portability and customizability of our technologies,” said Mr. Raj Kesarimall, Head, Mobile Device Solutions, at Jataayu. “We are happy to be working with our partners enabling them to offer customers a competitive solution in terms of footprint, price and performance. Customers benefit by developing devices faster and enabling solutions across a wider range of phone categories and customer segments.”
