Hailed as Canada's premier theme park, Paramount Canada's Wonderland lives up to its name. Paramount in size and boasting more than 200 attractions, 65 rides, an excellent selection of roller coasters, a 20-acre water park and numerous live performances, one visit is never enough.

Every year the park expands it selection of thrilling rides, this year is no exception with the addition of Psyclone, "the most powerful pendulum on the planet" that takes thrill seekers 120 ft into the air, while spinning on a giant sky teasing disc. Water babies will rejoice as Splash Works expands with 11 new slides including Barradcuda Blaster and Riptide Racer.

Tried and true favourite thrill rides and coasters return, ready to do what they do best; make you scream. The daring may want to be lifted 23 stories high and then dropped at 100 kilometres per hour aboard Drop Zone or test their ability to hold in their lunch on Top Gun, Canada's only inverted jet coaster. Not to be outdone by Vortex, Canada's first suspended roller coaster, the intense corkscrew design of The Bat, Skyrider's shark curves and side-winding helix (standing up of course), Dragon Fire's two 360-degree loops, the trek through Wonder Mountain aboard Thunder Run and let's not forget the coaster that lives up to its name, The Mighty Canadian Minebuster, the largest and longest wooden coaster in Canada.

Where do we begin? Hanna-Barbera Land is a trip back to every thirty-something's childhood when Fred Flintstone ruled the lunch hour while KidZville features numerous attractions including Taxi Jam, a roller coaster parents and kids can ride together, and Chopper Chase, a monorail ride. Catch planes, trains and rocket ships in Zoom Zone, where the sky's the limit aboard Jumpin' Jet, while Silver Streak, Canada's first junior inverted coaster with a helix will delight young thrill seekers who will dive, wind and swoop through its suspended, zigzagged track.
