PROFILE
A wonder of the natural world, Niagara Falls
consists of the Canadian Horseshoe Falls and
the American Falls. On the Canadian side,
water from the Niagara River plunges an
average of 52 metres (170 feet) into the
Maid of the Mist pool. The American Falls,
which has a rocky base, descends 21-34
metres (70-110 feet).
The vast majority of the attractions which
draw millions to the Niagara Region can be
found in a green belt which runs parallel to
the Niagara River. The parklands adjacent to
the Niagara River play host to attractions
such as the:

Botanical Gardens
Great Gorge Adventure
Recreational Trail
Spanish Aero Car
DIRECTIONS
From Toronto:
Take the 401 to Highway 403 south which will
connect to the Queen Elizabeth Way (QEW).
From south Toronto, take the Gardiner
Expressway to the Queen Elizabeth Way (QEW).
Follow the QEW towards Niagara Falls, to
Highway 420 and follow the signs to
the falls
From Detroit:
Take the Detroit-Windsor Tunnel to Highway
3B to the southeast. Follow Highway 3B to
Highway 401 east. Exit Highway 401 at
Highway 403 east, follow to the Queen
Elizabeth Way (QEW). Follow the QEW, towards
Niagara Falls, to Highway 420 and follow the
signs to the Falls parking |
